Last week, it was confirmed that vivo would be launching the new V21 and V21e smartphones in Malaysia. At the time, some features of the new devices were mentioned, though the specifics were a bit vague. Today, we have some more info in regards to that.

According to vivo Malaysia, the vivo V21 series will come with the Dimensity 800U chipset and 8GB of RAM. Users can also 'extend' the RAM with the Extended RAM Demonstration function, which turns 3GB of storage space into RAM. You can think of it as the virtual memory used in Windows PCs. Anyway, it's also been confirmed that both devices will have a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

In terms of cameras, the vivo V21 series is expected to sport a triple-camera setup at the back. It consists of a 64MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Also, it would seem that only the vivo V21e comes with the 44MP front camera.

Still no prices for the two devices, but vivo is probably waiting for the official launch on 27 April 2021 to announce it. Having said that, what do you think of the vivo V21 series so far? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
