Besides launching the Moto X40 in China yesterday, Motorola launched its latest offering in the affordable smartphone segment, the Motorola Moto G53. Featuring an unknown octa-core Qualcomm SoC, the device is one of the cheapest smartphones that offers 5G connectivity.

In terms of display, the Moto G53 sports a 6.5-inch 120Hz LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The panel also has a punch-hole cutout to house an 8MP selfie camera.

At its rear, there’s a 50MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup with LED flash. While the official Motorola Chinese website doesn’t mention the exact Qualcomm processor being used, it is confirmed that the Moto G53 has either 4 or 8GB of RAM with a singular 128GB of storage.

As for battery, the device sports a 5000mAh cell with 18W fast charging support. Other notable specs include a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 13 OS via My UI 5.0, a microSD card slot and colour options of either Black or Grey.
