Today, the National Registration Department (JPN) announced that it has opened applications for MyKid cards from 29 July 2024 at all National Registration Department Offices nationwide. The re-opening of the MyKid application marks the end of the temporary suspension of MyKid production due to a lack of microchip supply.
Hopefully, with the reopening of the MyKid application, it will be easier for parents to get MyKid for their children. Meanwhile, those who have applied before by having a MyKid application receipt but the print was delayed, are also asked to confirm the print on the official JPN portal. For any further information on the MyKid application, you can visit the JPN official portal at jpn.gov.my.
This is how you can apply for MyKid:
1. Attend the nearest JPN Office with necessary documents such as birth certificate (original), copy of mother and father's IC, and copy of marriage certificate.
2. Take the queue number and wait until called.
3. Submit the application form and documents to the counter officer.
4. Get the application receipt.
5. Come back to the JPN Office on the appointed date to pick up MyKid. Bring original documents for verification.
We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon. If you haven’t sorted this one, you might want to do it now.
