Yesterday, we reported on the new update to MySejahtera that turns the app into more of a health-oriented app rather than just being used for Covid-19 contact tracing. Called MySejahtera 2.0, the update was only available for iOS devices yesterday but today, it has officially started rolling out to Android devices too.

For all you Android users out there, you can now update the app via the Google Play Store if you don’t have automatic app updates turned on. Based on the app update log posted by MySejahtera on the Play Store, it seems that the MySejahtera 2.0 update brings identical new features to the Android version of the app as what was seen on iOS.

These include an updated Privacy Policy, Health Records and Screening Features, Children immunisation record as well as National Immunisation Programme Certificates and Schedule. Visual-wise, the update also brings with it a new look.

Moreover, the home page now only has 6 menus, which are Traveller, Infectious Disease Tracker, Helpdesk, Manage Dependents, Locate Health Facilities and More. Another notable change is that users' Covid-19 vaccination status will no longer be displayed in the home page.

Instead, Covid-19 vaccination status and record are now placed at a separate ‘Covid-19’ tab that is accessible from the menu at the bottom of the app. Besides that, MySejahtera 2.0 will also be adding additional health features in the near future. According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on his Twitter account, these include users’ blood donation record as well as the digital ‘pink book’ or the health record of mother and children.
