MySejahtera, the mobile application developed by the Malaysian Government to facilitate contact tracing has assured Malaysians that there would not be any administration of a fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose as of right now. Furthermore, users are also advised to disregard any vaccine appointment links if they have already been fully vaccinated.

Taking to its official Facebook page, MySejahtera addressed the confusion surrounding Covid-19 vaccine appointment links received by the app users recently. Some received the link even though they have already gotten the Covid-19 vaccine as well as its booster dose.

This sparked misinformation among Malaysians with some irresponsible quarters even spreading fake news claiming that this is proof that the government wants to enforce a fourth Covid-19 vaccinc dose. MySejahtera refuted such claims and said that the appointment links are only for those who have yet to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including those that have yet taken their booster dose.

The infographic attached to its posting stressed, “If you have been fully vaccinated, please disregard the link. There is no fourth dose currently being administered at this moment in time,”. Furthermore, the infographic further asserted that the appointment links are only for teenagers and children that have yet to receive either the first or second dose or for adults that have yet to receive their first, second or booster dose.

Previously, MySejahtera also clarified the new ‘verified’ status found on its app. You can read our report on the matter here.
