New Panasonic LUMIX GF9 digital camera featuring 4K PHOTO and video recording for RM2399

Today, Panasonic Malaysia is introducing a new Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera - the LUMIX GF9 from the LUMIX G series. Featuring capabilities of shooting selfies with a flip up rear monitor, a 16MP Digital Live MOS Sensor and a newly integrated 4K PHOTO, the camera is set to sell at the price is RM2399 and will arrive in Malaysia next week.

Dual Shutter feature

The GF9 is able to achieve high-resolution images in clear details with high contrast, colour reproduction and max ISO 25600 high sensitivity thanks to the lack of low-pass filter and a new Venus Engine combination. The contrast AF System also features DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology which enables speed and accuracy by exchanging digital signals between the camera and the lens at a max 240 fps in approximately 0.07 seconds.

The filters

Along with the new integrated 4K PHOTO, the camera is also able to record QFHD 4K video in 3840 x 2160 resolution, users can also take advantage a wide variety of functions such as Focus Stacking, Post Focus, and Light Composition; as well as Creative Control, Creative Panorama and Photo Style including L. Monochrome mode. It can also shoot images in RAW format.

On the camera body, the 3-inch 1040K dot rear monitor with touch control can tilt up to 180 degrees, it also goes into Self Shot mode automatically when the monitor is flipped. Of course, like most camera features, it has Beauty Retouch function with Soft Skin, Defocusing and Simmering effects. A new 4K Selfie Mode and panorama mode is available too.

Last but not least, the camera is equipped with WiFi connectivity. The WiFi is not meant for connecting with your broadband or indoor WiFi but rather your mobile device for convenient image sharing and operation.
