This all-in-one mobile app enhances Shell’s growing EV ecosystem, allowing users to easily find, reserve, and pay for EV charging sessions across Malaysia and even in Singapore, all from a single platform. The new Shell Recharge App comes packed with smart features designed to give EV users a smoother driving and charging experience:
- Quick Payments – Link your debit or credit card for fast, secure, and hassle-free transactions.
- Reserve & Recharge – Reserve a charging station ahead of your journey to ensure availability upon arrival.
- Cross-Border Roaming – Use the same app to charge at Shell Recharge sites in Malaysia and Singapore, enabling true cross-border convenience.
- Live Charging Updates – Track charging progress in real time, so you’ll know exactly when you’re ready to go.
- Find a Charger Easily – Use the built-in site locator to discover nearby charging stations and plan routes effortlessly.

Expanding Malaysia’s EV Infrastructure
The launch of the Shell Recharge App builds on Shell’s ambitious effort to expand its high-performance charging (HPC) network in Malaysia. The network includes Malaysia’s first North-to-South and East Coast-to-West Coast HPC corridors and the highest-altitude EV charging hub, which is located at Genting Highlands (read more about this news here).

Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Shell Mobility & Convenience Malaysia, said the app represents the next milestone in Shell’s EV journey. “The launch of the Shell Recharge App marks the next chapter of our evolution in EV charging. It builds on the progress made in expanding our high-performance charging network and enhancing reliability for EV drivers across Malaysia,” Seow shared.
“With the new Shell Recharge App, we are powering progress further by enabling an easier, smoother, and more seamless journey so that customers have confidence to go further with Shell. It also reinforces Shell’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s energy transition, while supporting the growing community of EV drivers.”
Limited-Time 11.11 Launch Promotion
To celebrate the app’s debut, Shell is offering a one-day promotion on 11 November 2025. EV drivers who charge via the Shell Recharge App will enjoy a special rate of RM1.11 per kWh at all Shell Recharge HPC sites across Malaysia (with terms and conditions applied).
