New Vivo NEX 3 sketch design reveals waterfall display, a possible under-screen camera and more

While the Vivo NEX proved to be a unique full-screen smartphone, the NEX Dual Display never really got to see the light at the end of the tunnel in the Malaysia market (meaning they never made it here). Obviously, the company is already working on the NEX 3 as confirmed by the Product Manager, Li Xiang showcasing the new "waterfall" display and other interesting features.

From the forums of Weibo, the display's edge is extremely curved and judging the bottom chin, it looks really thin and no signs of any cutouts and notches as expected. However, reports are saying that Vivo will be adopting a new technology which is a "screen camera solution". This is probably the same under-screen camera that we saw from OPPO during MWC Shanghai 2019 in China.

On top of that, sources are reporting that the company has also got rid of the "window effect" on the display too and that's awesome. But of course, we still have to take this news with a grain of salt, so we can't rule out the possibility of the pop-up front camera that they started out. Also, based on the sketch here, the NEX 3 will have a triple rear camera based on the design of a mechanical watch.

The Vivo NEX 3 looks quite promising, we should be expecting more news about it in the coming next few weeks so stay tuned for more Vivo news at TechNave.com.
