Previously, we reported that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 may feature a new ‘thermometer’ function that can accurately measure body temperature without being affected by the use’s external environment. Now, a new leak has further corroborated that claim through an alleged screenshot of the beta version of the Samsung Health app.

Posted by u/thedrunkmayor on the r/galaxywatch4 subreddit, the Redditor shared a screenshot of the Samsung Health app in which a setting for ‘Skin temperature during sleep’ can be toggled on and off. A closer look at the setting shows that the feature is ‘used to forecast your cycle more accurately’ as well as saying that the ‘measurement can cause a light to flash on the back of your watch’.

Hence, it is likely that the beta version of the Samsung Health app is referring to the thermometer function on the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5. Besides that, the beta app also alluded to the upcoming Samsung wearable to be coming in a regular and ‘Pro’ model, with Samsung potentially discarding the ‘Classic’ version this year.

However, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Well, the previous leak claimed that the Galaxy Watch 5 will launch in August, so we may not wait for too long to find out the full specs.
