It might still be 2022, but the smartphone industry isn't resting as brands are already gearing up for next year. Besides the Xiaomi 13 series that's set to launch tomorrow, Huawei could also have something coming soon. Specifically, the Huawei P60 series.

According to Gizmochina (via @RODENT50), the Huawei P60 series will enter mass production soon, which suggests a possible Q1 2023 launch. The number of models hasn't been confirmed, but there should be a standard and Pro variant. We could also see a Pocket variant, like the Huawei P50 Pocket released earlier this year. In terms of specs, the P60 series is expected to have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G and an upgraded 64MP telephoto camera.

Besides the Huawei P60 series, the source mentioned that the Huawei Mate 60 series would have a chipset with the model number SM8525. As far as we can tell, it's likely a 4G variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, the Mate 60 series probably won't be out anytime soon. In fact, it should launch around September of next year like its predecessor.

For Huawei fans, the P60 series would be a significant upgrade over the P50 series launched in July 2021. But what else could it bring to the table? Let us know what you think in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
