Google is reportedly sticking with the same camera setup found on the Pixel 6 series on its upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. However, the cameras are touted to be better thanks to software magic by Google.

Shared by reliable tipster Yogesh Brar, the Pixel 7 is tipped to feature a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 12MP ultra-wide lens. As for the Pixel 7 Pro, it will have the same combination but with the addition of an extra 48MP telephoto lens.

Brar further claimed that Google will be optimising the sensors to get better performance. Furthermore, as with previous Pixel smartphones, the real star of the show is Google’s computational photography, with the custom Tensor chips adding to its prowess.

Google is expected to release the Pixel 7 series alongside the Pixel 6a next month during their annual I/O event. However, do take these information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet.

One thing that’s very likely is that the upcoming Google smartphones won’t officially made its way to Malaysia, just like previous Pixels. Though, since the borders are open, Pixel fans can always go to Singapore to get them. :P
