Pretty soon, Apple will be unveiling the overdue iPhone 12 series and it's sure to flood the news all over the Internet on Wednesday morning. Just before the live stream launches, we got ourselves a ton of new leaks about the iPhone 12 camera features from @PinkLeaks so here it goes.

According to his tweets, the first thing he said is this new "dynamic zoning algorithm" which isn't a revamped TrueDepth Camera System that was suggested. So what does this new algorithm do? Leaks say it's for the iPhone 12 series to unlock faster via Face ID but might not be integrated on the iPhone 12 mini. On top of that, the much-rumoured LiDAR sensor could be pushed back to iPhone 13 or later iOS 14 updates.

Speaking of camera features, it's said that the iPhone 12's optical and digital zoom could get a huge upgrade with a "significantly extended digital zoom, both quality and distance wise", with 3x optical zoom and 25x or 30x respectively. Furthermore, the digital zoom is said to be achieved by combining many frames at different zoom levels and the Deep Fusion system will correct the alignment and sharpening. Even the Night Mode is rumoured to be included in the telephoto camera that is unheard of. In terms of other camera features, the ultrawide aperture could be 35% wider whereas a macro camera could be included with a 2.2cm distance capability.

On top of that, Apple might be favouring 5G over 120Hz refresh rates as most casual users won't be bothered with it. With all that said, Apple might not even make it as one of the highlighted features (very typical) but all shall be unveiled time. Until then, stay tuned for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
