So, PhoneArena has revealed to us a brand-new patent has just popped out around the internet, revealing a cool (or uncool) feature of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+.

According to the patent application, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 may come with a display notch, just like what you see on the upcoming Apple iPhone X and the Essential Phone. The notch is expected to house the fingerprint scanner as well as a home button.

This may a good change to the Galaxy flagship as the current fingerprint scanner placement on the S8 and S8+ was a bit awkward as finding the scanner with your fingers tend to smudge the awesome main camera at the back.

Other than that, the Galaxy S9 is also expected follow the general design of the Galaxy S8 series of devices because what else can you improve with bezels this small.

Do keep in mind though that this patent application may not reveal anything about the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at all; it could just be Samsung placing their mark on a new design decision for another possible upcoming device.

However, true or untrue, we are always looking forward to what Samsung will come up with next. What do you think? Would this be a good move from Samsung? Make sure to let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more sweet updates.
