Nintendo Switch could get permanent price cut soon

Back in July, Nintendo announced another refresh to the Switch console. This isn't the Switch Pro that many fans had hope for, but it does have some upgrades like a new OLED screen. In anticipation of the launch, the price for the old model could drop.

According to @nintedalerts (via VGC), Nintendo could lower the price of the current Switch model from 299 Euros (~RM1462) to between 249 and 269 Euros (~RM1217 to 1315). For reference, the revised Nintendo Switch retails in Malaysia for around RM1299. If the rumour about the price cut is true, we estimate the new price in Malaysia to be around RM1149. Not a significant cut, but enough to differentiate it from the OLED model.

With the price cut, the current model is definitely become the better deal. But if you want a better screen to play on the go and prefer digital downloads, then you might want to get the new one. Mind you, Nintendo hasn't confirmed if there would be a price cut. But with the new model coming out, the possibility is quite high. Having said that, which model will you get if you don't have a Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for updates on this.
