Nintendo adds five more Sega Genesis games to Expansion Pack

Back in October 2021, Nintendo added a new subscription package for its Switch Online service. The Expansion Pack provided subscribers with access to a few Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 games. Unfortunately, the response wasn't too positive. Now, Nintendo wants to fix that by adding more titles.

Recently, Nintendo announced an update for Switch Online. Specifically, five more Sega Genesis games were added to the Expansion Pack. This brings the total number of included retro games to 30 and gives the pack a little bit more value. If you're feeling nostalgic and want to relive some of these oldies, the Expansion Pack could be what you need.

For your info, a regular Switch Online subscription is around USD 20 (~RM84). It provides access to NES and SNES games, as well as other services like online multiplayer and cloud data. However, the Expansion Pack costs an additional USD30 (~RM127) and doesn't offer much other than the 30 retro games and a DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In our opinion, the Expansion Pack is currently not a good deal. The smart thing to do would be to wait for Nintendo to add more games and benefits. But what do you think, is the Expansion Pack worth subscribing to? Share your opinions below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
