Nothing during an event in Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur today announced that its first smartphone, the Phone (1) will be on sale in Malaysia starting from 1 August 2022 for the 8/256GB variant. Furthermore, consumers can place their pre-order and get a first-hand experience of the device by visiting the Nothing Pop-up store at the Starhill, Bukit Bintang from 21 to 25 July 2022.
Meanwhile, if you're aiming to get the 12/256GB model, it will only be available from mid-late August 2022. Besides that, Nothing has also been conducting limited drops of the Phone (1) at Crossover online and in-store at Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley Megamall and Mid Valley Southkey since 18 July 2022.
As for pricing, Nothing revealed that the 8/256GB model is priced at RM2399 while the 12/256GB model is RM2699. Open sales for the Phone (1) will be available at these retailers starting 1 August:

In case you missed our coverage of the smartphone’s launch in our country, the most striking thing about the device has got to be its design, especially the Glypth Interface found at its back. Utilising up to 900 LEDs, unique light patterns will notify users to app notifications, charging status and more.
In terms of display, the Phone (1) sports a 6.55-inch OLED which supports HDR10+, up to 500 nits brightness and 10-bit colour depth. It also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate with an adaptive refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz.
The display also has a punch-hole cutout that houses a 16MP selfie camera. Speaking of which, there’s also a 50MP main + 50MP ultrawide dual-camera setup capable of recording up to 4K 30 fps and features such as the Extreme Night Mode, Night Mode, Night Video, Export Mode and Slo-Mo up to 120fps.
Under the hood, the Phone (1) features a 4500mAh battery with a 33W PD3.0 fast charging and 15W Qi-wireless charging technology. The processor is a mid-range Snapdragon 778G+ chipset and the phone itself has a IP53 water and dust resistance rating.
