Previously, it was reported that Nothing will launch the Nothing Phone 4a series next month. This was confirmed by the company founder Carl Pei, who revealed an event happening on 5 March 2026. Moreover, new sources have provided further info on upgrades for the Nothing Phone 4a series.

Upgraded hardware

According to Dealabs, the Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro will have upgraded cameras. Both are expected to have a 50MP main camera with up to 3.5x optical zoom. The Pro model will also offer up to 140x digital zoom, the level typically found on flagship phones. In addition, the ultra-wide camera can deliver up to 70x ultra-wide zoom.

For the display, the Nothing Phone 4a is expected to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. It will have a 1.5K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 30 to 120Hz. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone 4a Pro will have a slightly larger 6.83-inch 1.5K resolution AMOLED display, with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

In terms of design, the Nothing Phone 4a Pro will come with an aluminium unibody chassis and a Glyph Matrix display, which was first introduced in the Nothing Phone 3. As for the Nothing Phone 4a, it's expected to keep the popular Glyph Bar, but this time with 63 mini-LEDs.

New colour

In 2025, the Nothing Phone 3a series introduced a new blue colour. It was limited to specific memory configurations and a rather striking colour for a brand used to the standard white, grey, and black colours. This year, Nothing plans to add a new pink colour to the mix. The new pink colour is expected to be available for both models, but only for the 12GB/256GB configuration.

Higher price tag

As many expected, the Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro will have higher price tags than their predecessors. According to the source, the former will have retail prices starting from 409 Euros (~RM1888). The Pro version's prices are from 499 Euros (~RM2303). For comparison, last year's Nothing Phone 3a and Nothing Phone 3a Pro launched here for RM1699 and RM1999, respectively.

Those price tags don't look too bad considering the upgrades. However, local prices could be much higher, which might make Nothing fans avoid upgrading. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for confirmation to know more. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
