Some retail sites started putting the OPPO A74 series up for sale, revealing some specs of the device and local prices. We didn't quite expect the phone to launch just yet, However, that's exactly what OPPO as the 4G and 5G variant are now available.

According to GSMArena, OPPO has quietly launched the OPPO A74 4G in the Philippines for PHP 11999 (~RM1026). The 4G variant comes with the Snapdragon 662 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It has a pretty good 6.43-inch AMOLED with up to 180Hz touch-sampling rate, 92% DCI-PE colour gamut, and a built-in fingerprint reader.

The 5G variant is now available in Thailand

Then there's the OPPO A74 5G, which now available in Thailand for 9000 Baht (~RM1187). It comes with Qualcomm's budget Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The display is still 6.43-inch, but the 5G variant supports a 90Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Furthermore, the fingerprint reader has been integrated into the power button.

Both phones pack the same 5000mAh battery, but the 4G variant has 33W fast-charging compared to the 5G variant's 18W. As for the camera, both have the same 16MP selfie camera but slightly different rear camera setups. The OPPO A74 4G has a 48MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the OPPO A74 5G has an additional 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Considering that our SEA neighbours now have access to the OPPO A74 series, we can probably expect them to be available in Malaysia soon. Having said that, would you be interested in getting them? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
