Other than the OPPO X 2021 smartphone that has a rollable OLED display, the company has announced a couple of other interesting technology products at the OPPO INNO DAY 2020 event as well including the OPPO AR Glass 2021 and OPPO Cybereal AR application. The products are built with “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World” in mind and through their 3+N+X technology development strategy.

The OPPO AR Glass 2021 is built with the Birdbath optical solution to bring an immersive experience. It will increase the contrast by 53%, brightness uniformity by 98%, and pixels per degree by 40% compared with its predecessor, delivering sharper and more refined images. The light emitted from its 0.71-inch OLED is refracted by the spectroscope to the human eye. Together with a customized large-amplitude speaker and a semi-open rear cavity acoustic design, it will offer a home theater-like experience that is equivalent to watching a 90-inch screen from 3 meters away. That is how impressive it sounds!

Other than that, the pair of AR glasses will also feature diverse sensors, including a set of binocular fisheye cameras, one ToF sensor, and one RGB camera. The fisheye cameras can track hand gestures to detect pre-defined interactive gestures. Therefore, users can make very accurate selections, such as tapping on the menu and zooming in and out on objects. For the ToF sensor, it is being used to ensure the accuracy and stability of 6DoF movements as well as the continuity of surroundings around the user at all times by scanning the surroundings and conducting plane detection.

Furthermore, the company has also introduced the OPPO CybeReal AR application that is powered by real-time, spatial calculation technology to enable high-precision localization and scene recognition. The application signifies OPPO's first step in scene-based digitalization. With its high-precision localization technology and AI scene-recognition, the CyberReal will come in handy by offering precise navigation in indoor environments like parking lots or shopping malls. OPPO is expecting to deploy the technology in virtual playgrounds, product displays, visual marketing in physical stores, and more as well in the future.
