Guess who's joining the triple camera setup club? It's none other than OPPO and with the new short R17 Pro advertisement, the triple camera setup is positioned vertically in the middle followed by a LED flashlight and will be released soon on 23 August 2018.
While it was released in China, we found the full video after a quick search on YouTube revealing an interesting feature. Although it doesn't tell much, the video does tell us that the aperture on the triple camera setup is switchable between f/1.5 and f/2.4. In addition to that, sources also claim that the third camera sensor is neither a telephoto lens nor a monochrome sensor, but rather a new Time of Flight (ToF) tridimensional camera for Augmented Reality purpose.
As for the rest of the specifications, the R17 Pro will definitely be using the Waterdrop notch design and has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display. It seems that they are also going for the newest Snapdragon 710 chipset with 8GB of RAM.
We should be seeing more reports about the R17 Pro this week, stay tuned for more OPPO news at TechNave.com.
