The world’s first Snapdragon 480 5G smartphone has been unveiled by vivo, the vivo Y31s. Today, a new smartphone has appeared on Geekbench having the same chipset which is from vivo’s sister company, OPPO and it is expected to be the company’s most affordable 5G device.

According to the leakster Abhishek Yadav, the OPPO smartphone that appeared on Geekbench has the model number of PEHT00 and showed that it supports 5G and up to 18W of charging speed. If you feel it’s familiar, this model number has already passed China’s 3C certification earlier on.

Looking at the Geekbench data, the new device scores 522 and 1,513 on Single and Multi-core scores respectively. The listing also reveals it runs 8GB of RAM based on Android 11 OS which has a larger RAM than the 6GB RAM on the vivo Y31s.  As for the price, it is expected to be less than 15,000(~RM824).

Either way, there is still no official confirmation on the tech specs and release dates for the latest OPPO device, so do take this with a pinch of salt. But looking at the price range, it may be parked at the A-series. Stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com.
