Recently, it's reported that OPPO is working on its own Apple MagSafe-inspired charger after a trademark for "MagVOOC" got discovered. Today, the company has showcased the MagVOOC concept products at the China International Smart Industry Expo 2021, giving us a look at a magnetic trio.

The three MagVOOC products, including MagVOOC magnetic wireless power bank, MagVOOC ultra-thin portable magnetic charger, and MagVOOC vertical magnetic wireless charging base, were presented at the showcase. MagVOOC ultra-thin portable magnetic charger is one that looks very similar to the current Apple MagSafe charger. It's said that it adopts the split design of the transmitter coil and the mainboard, which not only makes the transmitter base lighter and thinner but also prevents the heat generated from getting transferred to a smartphone.

Furthermore, OPPO claims that the power bank is equivalent to an "external battery" to a mobile phone. The magnet will help get rid of the alignment problem faced by many wireless power banks in the market. Besides that, the MagVOOC magnetic wireless power bank is also compatible with Qi, with support for 20W wireless charging and 10W wired charging. It's mentioned that it can fully charge a 4,500mAh battery in around 2 hours. At the moment, it seems like OPPO has no plan for mass production yet, but its 125W wired charger should arrive next year.
