OPPO to launch magnetic wireless charger, applies for MagVOOC trademark

When realme announced the MagDart magnetic wireless chargers last month, many noticed that it was OPPO that filed the trademark. As such, it was suggested that OPPO would also have the same tech soon. Well, it looks like the speculation was accurate.

As spotted by @passionategeekz, OPPO has filed a trademark for 'MagVOOC'. Based on the naming convention, it's almost certain that this is OPPO's answer to Apple's MagSafe. The trademark was only registered on 11 August 2021 though, so we might not see an actual product from OPPO till later this month or next month.

Of course, we don't have any news on design and specs either. But since the realme MagDart trademark was filed by OPPO, we could see the same type of MagVOOC chargers from the latter. Assuming that's the case, there should be a small 15W wireless charger and a larger 50W wireless charger with built-in air cooling.

The interesting thing to consider is whether OPPO has a new smartphone on the way. realme launched the MagDart with the realme Flash, so could the OPPO MagVOOC also launch with a new product? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
