Yesterday we reported that smartphone companies like vivo and Xiaomi started to roll out updates which will increase the RAM size through virtual RAM. Today, OPPO is rolling out a similar new update to selected phone models too which is called RAM+.
According to the source, the new update RAM+ will allow users to increase or expand the virtual RAM by converting some of the phone’s storage (ROM) into virtual RAM. So with this new update, users will not get a virtual RAM expansion automatically instead they will get to choose if they need it and get as much as 7GB of virtual RAM expansion.
As of now, the new update has been rolled out since June 2021, so do check out for the latest update on your smartphone. Once you’ve updated it, just head to About Phone under your Settings menu and you will see the RAM+ option. All you need to do is to select the amount of RAM you want and restart your phone.
