Earlier this week, it was leaked that Xiaomi planned to launch its latest flagship series before the end of the year. Thanks to leaks, the design of the Xiaomi 12 series is no longer a secret. But the official teaser does confirm what it looks like.
Yesterday, Xiaomi announced a few details about the Xiaomi 12 series on Weibo. First, it's confirmed that the company will launch two models on 28 December 2021 - the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. As you can see, both models have the same punch-hole display and an identical design. However, the Xiaomi 12 is smaller than the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Allegedly, the Xiaomi 12 series' display panel created 15 new display records to score an A+ rating from DisplayMate. It's also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Xiaomi also discussed in an article (in Chinese) how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset has a drastically improved CPU, GPU, and AI engine.
