Just as the Nothing Phone (1) was launched in Malaysia last night, Carl Pei's former OnePlus partner, Pete Lau took the opportunity to announce the next flagship - the OnePlus 10T 5G. Launching alongside OxygenOS 13, the flagship will be launching soon on 3 August 2022.

Lau also mentioned that the launch will be a physical event and will be held in New York City. Under the tagline 'Evolve Beyond Speed', Lau said the OnePlus 10T 5G will have an upgrade "beyond improvements to speed alone by leveraging new technologies". As how he puts it - not only more speed but smarter speed.

To start off, he confirmed that the OnePlus 10T 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Besides that, the aforementioned OxygenOS 13 will be launched as well to deliver a smoother experience with a refreshed design and enhanced safety. Some features are making a return to OxygenOS 13, such as the Always-On Displays, Zen Mode, and other optimizations.

That said, Lau mentioned that the OxygenOS 13 will launch on the OnePlus 10 Pro first, followed by the OnePlus 10T later this year. There will also be a livestream where you can tune in at www.oneplus.com/launch/10t or by heading to the OnePlus YouTube channel. The event kicks off at the following times around the world:
