Last year, it was suggested that the OnePlus 11R would launch in 2022 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. That turned out to be inaccurate, as the year is now 2023 and the phone isn't out yet. But a new leak may have just confirmed the chipset being used.

Some screenshots showing the tech specs of the OnePlus 11R were recently leaked by Yogesh Brar (via PriceBaba). According to the source, this alleged prototype (model number CPH2487) features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. But instead of the standard 3.2GHz clock speed, it will be underclocked to 3GHz. This could be due to OnePlus selecting a weaker batch after chip binning, which should lower the total cost of the device, or due to thermal considerations.

The OnePlus 11R prototype also has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1240x2772 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint reader paired with it. Other specs include a 16MP front camera, a 50MP+12MP+2MP triple-camera setup at the back, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for the power source, a 5000mAh battery pack would be included with support for 100W fast charging.

The OnePlus 11R seems to be designed to be a more affordable flagship-class smartphone. Unfortunately, it's probably not going to land here in Malaysia, as neither the OnePlus 9R nor the OnePlus 10R did. With that said, would you be keen to see a rebranded model of this device for Malaysia? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
