For most brands, flagships that are not top-of-the-line could feature less premium features or hardware for lower prices. But the OnePlus 12R looks well-balanced for flagship smartphone enthusiasts with more modest requirements. Let's check out some of its leaked specs.

According to Max Jambor, the OnePlus 12R will sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. For your info, that's the higher-end variant of the OnePlus 12R. There's also a variant with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. Both are good options and should offer fantastic value depending on the retail prices.

The OnePlus 12R is also expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, which should combine with the UFS 4.0 storage for better power efficiency. Other specs include the Gorilla Glass Victus 2, 50MP main camera, 5500mAh battery, and 100W fast charging.

Since the phone was certified by Singapore's IMDA earlier this month, we're also hoping to see the phone in Malaysia. The global launch is rumoured to be on 23 January 2023, so look forward to our subsequent launch report.
