A leak has surfaced online from Twitter leaker @ishanagarwal24 in regards to the OnePlus 7 launch date which may just fall on the 14th of May. Following the launch of last year’s OnePlus 6 launch, this date might not be so far fetched.
The OnePlus 7 smartphone may come in 3 variants, the second variant being the OnePlus 7 Pro and the third the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. As of now, the only tech specs we know about the device is that it may be released with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage and a 6.67 inch OLED display. It may also feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor alongside 16MP and 8MP sensors, making it a triple rear camera setup.
Okay, so I'm gonna stop with the estimations and give you all what you want. I can confirm that #OnePlus7 Series is launching globally on "14th May" 2019! Exactly 1 month left for #OnePlus' Flagship Killer to be revealed! According to earlier leak: #GoBeyondSpeed! #OnePlus7Pro pic.twitter.com/KlUpHjZms7

Also, according to renders of a phone cover for the device, we may also be seeing a return of the 3.5mm headphone jack on it since it was removed on the OnePlus 6T. In the renders of the smartphone cover, you can clearly see the 3.5mm headphone jack cut out to the left of what seems to be a pop up camera slot on the top of the device.
In other news, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus confirms that we won’t be seeing a foldable device from the company anytime soon. There’s a reason for that, though. The company is working on a TV or what he calls, a “smart display”. The TV apparently can learn your habits as you watch it, eliminating the need for a remote control as it will have all the relevant information ready for you at any time.
In addition, he also said that OnePlus may be heading into the automation industry to build electronics for cars as building a while car is quite complicated. Office products are also in the horizon for OnePlus. Both industries mentioned will have something to do with 5G which we speculate may be connected to 5G, AI or even cloud storage. We may be seeing the TV out soon as it is far ahead in development. As for the office and automotive products, it may be a few years before we hear about it again.
