OnePlus 9's Sony IMX789 sensor and dual camera system

Yesterday, OnePlus confirmed that its OnePlus 9 series would use a camera software designed by Hasselblad. On top of that, the company's latest flagship series would come with a Sony IMX789 camera sensor. Now, some details of its features have been revealed.

Thanks to a series of OnePlus posts on Weibo, we now know that some of the camera's features for the OnePlus 9 series. The Sony IMX789 sensor provides dual native ISO, full-pixel omni-directional AF, 4K/120P video recordings, and real-time HDR video processing. It will also have Digital Overlap HDR (DOL-HDR), which will help prevent the ghosting effect when taking pictures of moving objects.

Besides that, there was also a teaser for a type of dual-camera system. It shows how this system works like an extended wide-angle camera. First, it captures two pictures, then stitches them together for an extra-wide panorama picture. This is a neat feature, especially if you like taking photos of landscapes.
