For this year, OnePlus launched two models for its OnePlus 8 flagship series, before launching the OnePlus 8T last month. The OnePlus 8T is considered the top-range model in the OnePlus 8 series, which is why there's no OnePlus 8T Pro available. And OnePlus may repeat this 2+1 model approach for next year.

According to a Chinese blogger on Weibo (in Chinese), there will be a total of three models to the OnePlus 9 series next year. He also claimed that it will be released sometime in March 2021, which will mean that the launch window is about 1 month earlier than it was this year. It's believed that this is so that it could launch closer to the Xiaomi Mi 11 series.

The OnePlus 8T was launched much later but is still considered part of the OnePlus 8 series

The OnePlus 9 series is almost guaranteed to come with the Snapdragon 875 chipset, which could provide up to 26% performance increase over the Snapdragon 865 chipset. On top of that, it's expected to have an OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, continuing OnePlus' tradition of flagships with top-tier displays. Other features mentioned include dual-stereo speakers, 65W fast-charging, and IP68 water resistance.

This is currently speculation at best, so do take the above with a grain of salt. With that said, what would you like to see improved in the OnePlus 9 series? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on it.
