For OnePlus fans, one of the more disappointing things was the decision to drop OxygenOS for the OPPO ColorOS. Back in June 2021, the company revealed that it would be merging OxygenOS and ColorOS. Now, we finally have some details on the new operating system.

According to Yogesh Brar (via MySmartPrice), the OnePlus UnifiedOS would be launched in 2H 2022. Based on the release window, the new UI will be built on top of Android 13. This integrated OS will be in global OPPO devices. However, we think there's a chance that OPPO could also transition to this OS for its devices on the global market.

The source claimed that the new OS is still in the early development phase. That is understandable if you consider that the Android 13 release is a long way to go. Also, the OnePlus will allegedly call it the H2OOS. This is a reference to hydrogen combining with oxygen to form water (H2O).

Currently, there's not much info on the new OS. But maybe OnePlus would talk about some upcoming features in the coming months. With that said, what feature should OnePlus phones add? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
