Last week, OnePlus announced that it will be looking to release the new version of HydrogenOS on 10 August 2020. Well, HydrogenOS 11 is now officially in China and it brings new features to OnePlus devices. Included in the bunch are the always-on display mode, an improved dark mode, and more.

According to ITHome (via XDA-Developers), the HydrogenOS 11 is designed to deliver an improved user experience. The idea is to allow users to grasp more information on a single screen at a glance. In terms of features, OnePlus has added an always-on mode for the display, weather app, smart gallery with editing functions, one-handed mode, and more. Currently, only the OnePlus 8 series can get the upgrade but more devices will be added soon.

Now that HydrogenOS 11 is out, we can probably expect OxygenOS 11 to follow soon enough. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has already announced the last preview build for OxygenOS 11 and said that an open beta would be coming soon. However, we're expecting OxygenOS 11 to be identical to its China-only counterpart, with the only difference being access to Google Play Services.
