OnePlus has always been one of the forerunners when it comes to Android implementation. Not long after Android 11 beta was released, OnePlus got in quickly and started testing it. While Android 11 isn't going to be officially released till 8 September 2020, OnePlus is already looking to unveil its latest Hydrogen OS 11.

In an official Weibo post, OnePlus announced that it will be hosting a live-stream event on 10 August 2020 at 2 PM local time. The event will introduce the new Hydrogen OS 11, which promises to deliver a new visual design, interactive functions, and features. Since OnePlus has been testing Android 11 beta lately, it's almost certain that Hydrogen OS 11 will be based on Android 11.

It should be noted that Hydrogen OS is mostly implemented for handsets for the Chinese market, while international models will use Oxygen OS instead. The only difference is that Hydrogen OS won't have Google Play Services. Anyway, some of the new features you can expect from the new OS include Bubbles, Nearby Sharing, new emojis, a recycle-bin, and more.

With Hydrogen OS 11 being revealed next week, we can probably expect Oxygen OS 11 to follow soon. In other words, global OnePlus devices might get official access to Android 11 around mid-September.
