The OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5 were released in India yesterday, and now, both devices are up for pre-order in Malaysia. With offers worth up to RM538 to be enjoyed, read on to learn more about the new OnePlus smartphones’ debut for the local market.
OnePlus Nord 5 is priced at RM2299 in Malaysia
Unlike the Indian variant, there’s only one memory configuration for the Nord 5 in Malaysia, which is 12/512GB. Other than that, all the specs are the same.
As a refresher, the Nord 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Battery-wise, it’s a massive 6800mAh cell, which supports 80W charging and 5W reverse charging via the USB-C port.
Meanwhile, the display is a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution, 1800 nits peak brightness, an in-screen optical fingerprint scanner and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP LYT-700 shooter paired with an 8MP OV08D10 ultra-wide.
In Malaysia, the Nord 5 is offered in Phantom Grey, Dry Ice and Marble Sands colour options and is priced at RM2299. Pre-order is open from now until 18 July via the official OPPO Malaysia store, where u can get the Nord 5 for RM2149, with free gifts of a Nord Buds 3 and SUPERVOOC 80W Power Adapter to boot.
OnePlus Nord CE5 is priced at RM1499 in Malaysia
As for the Nord CE5, it’s only offered in an 8/256GB configuration in Malaysia, with colour options of either Black Infinity or Marble Mist. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 56GB UFS 3.1 storage. Under the hood, there’s also a massive 7100mAh battery, which supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging via the USB-C port.
As for the screen, it’s a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 1430 nits peak brightness, an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 16MP IMX480 selfie shooter. Meanwhile, the main camera at the rear is a 50MP LYY-600 shooter paired with an 8MP OV08D10 ultra-wide.
In Malaysia, the Nord CE5 is priced at RM1499. If you pre-order from now until 18 July, you can get the device for RM1399, with a free SUPERVOOC 80W power adapter.
