Previously, we reported that OnePlus would be releasing its first foldable smartphone, cleverly named the OnePlus Open. Now, the same source did one better, revealing the device’s touted release date.
As shared by reliable tipster Max Jambor on Twitter, OnePlus is allegedly planning to release the foldable on 29 August 2023. Furthermore, the event would take place in New York, which would mean that the foldable is set for a global release too.
Jambor previously asserted that the Open would feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover screen, a 7.8-inch 120Hz folding screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
It’ll also feature a 50MP IMX890 main sensor, a 48MP IMX581 ultra-wide and a 64MP telephoto (possibly a periscope zoom). Battery-wise, it’ll be a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W charging.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Well, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave for the latest development on this and for trending tech news.
