OnePlus’ first foldable will reportedly launch on 19 October, starting at ~RM8017

The OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable smartphone, has been in the rumour mills for a while, with OnePlus itself teasing its imminent release. Now, a new leak has revealed more about the device, including corroborating previous leaks on its launch date, specs and even its starting price. 

As shared by Roland Quandt on German-based publication WinFuture, the foldable smartphone’s release date is again touted to be on 19 October. Furthermore, Quandt went a step further and even revealed its starting price to be USD1699 or ~RM8017.

Besides that, the tipster also shared several renders of the OnePlus Open, which look aligned with the teasers already shared by the company. The renders also revealed two colours for the device which is the same as the OnePlus 11’s black and eternal green options. 

Quandt further leaked the foldable’s specs, which include a 48MP main + 48MP ultra-wide + 64MP telephoto (3x optical zoom) triple-camera setup with Hasselblad branding. Besides that, the device will allegedly feature a 7.8-inch foldable OLED main display, a 6.31-inch cover screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and 16GB of RAM.
