OnePlus teases that its first foldable, the OnePlus Open will launch on 19 October

The OnePlus Open, the firm’s first-ever foldable smartphone has been in the rumour mills for a while and now, its launch date has officially been teased. This is after OnePlus’ official US X account cheekily replied to a tweet by tipster Max Jambor, seemingly confirming a 19 October launch date.

In an X post, Jambor claimed that the foldable device is launching ‘soon’ and further revealed the launch event is on the aforementioned date. OnePlus then replied to the X post with an eye emoji, pretty much alluding that Jambor’s claims are correct. Of course, the company didn’t actually confirm or deny the claim, but it’s a safe bet that the company is doing the former.

OnePlus had previously announced that the foldable device is indeed named ‘Open’ and confirmed that it is launching soon. No official specs were revealed though, but the foldable is expected to share many similarities with a foldable from its sister company, the OPPO Find N3.
