Since its launch on 2 January, over 1 million citizens and permanent residents have signed up for the Central Database Hub (PADU). However, that’s a far cry from the targeted 29 million registrations by 31 March, with Terengganu recording one of the lowest signups in the country.

As reported by Bernama, only 29596 users in Terengganu have registered for PADU, as revealed by the state Department of Statistics Malaysia director Marlini Sahul Hamid. She further asserted that the figure is still low compared to other states.

Therefore, DOSM is implementing various strategies to bump up registrations, including opening physical PADU counters at specific locations in collaboration with various agencies. These include counters at 66 Digital Economic Centres (PEDi) throughout the districts coordinated by the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Terengganu branch.

Moreover, officers will be assigned to provide assistance related to updating PADU if there are issues faced by residents. Mobile counters will be set up too at popular locations such as supermarkets.
