With the launch of eMADANI program yesterday (4 December 2023), the Ministry of Finance Malaysia announced that over 7 million Malaysians have applied for the RM100 credit across MAE, Touch 'n Go eWallet, ShopeePay and Setel. The figure was confirmed at 5 PM yesterday on the government's official Facebook account.
That said, the post also took the opportunity to address the technical problems faced by the locals earlier yesterday. Due to the influx of registrations, a slow server experience was to be expected but they should be back to normal by now. If you still haven't claimed your eMADANI yet, the application is still open until 20 February 2024.
We noted that some of the eligible participants have received their RM100 credit already. For those who are still waiting, the government said that the working days will take 1 to 5 days from the date of application. You can also go through the 'Know-Your-Customer' (eKYC) verification process during registration.
If you haven't decided on which platform you should redeem the RM100 credit, you can check out our simple guide right over here on all the platform's offerings and comparisons. You can visit the official portal here to find more information about eMADANI.
