Some of you should have heard of the PICO 4 before. It made a local debut in Malaysia two years ago and today, PICO just officially unveiled a more powerful all-in-one Mixed Reality (MR) PICO 4 Ultra headset. Starting on 4 September, it will be on sale for RM2,799.
In the specs sheet, the PICO 4 Ultra features a dual 32MP RGB camera and an iToF depth-sensing camera, providing a stereoscopic HD colour passthrough experience. Additionally, the headset also introduces a panoramic workspace concept, supporting multi-window operations for multitasking purposes.
On the other hand, the PICO 4 Ultra is accompanied by a new motion capture accessory. Dubbed the PICO Motion Tracker, users can strap this lightweight tracker to their ankles to achieve full-body motion capture. Paired with PICO's multimodel fusion tracking solution, it can deliver accurate, low-latency motion capture and is compatible with VRChat, Tempo Club and Les Mills Dance.
The PICO 4 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 mobile platform, alongside 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Plus, the front main unit weighs around 304g while the rear head cushion weighs 276g, making a total weight of 580g. PICO also introduced a new ring-less controller that is more lightweight and easier to grip, while still retaining the broad-band linear motor for users to enjoy haptic feedback.
Interested customers can purchase the PICO 4 Ultra on PICO XR's official Shopee and Lazada store with special discount vouchers of up to RM268. From 4 - 22 September, the headset can be bought for RM2,579 or RM2,699 at the online stores above, respectively. Also from 9-11 September, customers can purchase the headset for RM2,531 via discount vouchers. A complimentary PICO Motion Tracker (worth RM399) and an All-in-One Sport VR game will also be given away during the promo period.
