Last night, POCO officially launched the new POCO C81 Pro in Malaysia, as another new entry-level smartphone targeted at younger users and everyday entertainment needs. The device is now available in Malaysia, starting from RM389 during the promotional launch period. Here's everything you need to know about the phone.
The POCO C81 Tech Specs
One of the biggest highlights of the POCO C81 Pro is its large 6.9-inch display, with refresh rates of up to 120Hz while also reaching up to 800 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) for improved outdoor visibility. POCO has also included Wet Touch Technology 2.0, allowing the screen to remain responsive even when fingers are wet, oily, or soapy.
Additionally, the device packs a massive 6000mAh battery. The company also says the battery is engineered for long-term reliability, maintaining consistent performance even after 1,000 charging cycles. On the camera side, the POCO C81 Pro features a 13MP AI dual-camera system paired with HDR support and Night mode functionality, whereas the front camera is 8MP.
Other Features
The POCO C81 Pro also becomes the first device in the POCO C Series lineup to launch with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. The software introduces several ecosystem and AI-related features, including Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, Xiaomi HyperIsland, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity features. These additions are designed to improve multitasking, cross-device connectivity, and information access while creating a smoother ecosystem experience across Xiaomi products.
Despite housing a large battery, the POCO C81 Pro maintains a relatively slim profile at 8.15mm thick while weighing 208g. The rear design features a high-gloss camera ring surrounding the camera module, giving the device a more premium appearance compared to typical entry-level smartphones. The phone is available in three colour options, including Green, Gold, and Black.

The POCO C81 Pro is now officially available in Malaysia through mi.com, as well as on official online stores (Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop). The pricing is as follows:
