Late last month, POCO Malaysia confirmed that it would be launching the POCO F5 series on 9 May 2023. Well, the company's latest smartphones are now available here and come with pretty good value. Let's take a look at what they offer.
POCO F5 Pro
The first and most interesting one is the POCO F5 Pro, which looks rather similar to last year's Redmi K60. While the design is identical, it does have a smaller battery rated at 5160mAh. However, it does has flagship hardware like the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The POCO F5 Pro also comes in black and white colours.
POCO's new flagship also has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a 64MP+8MP+2MP triple rear camera, 16MP front camera, and the LiquidCool Technology 2.0 featuring a high-efficient Vapor Chamber. Moreover, the display supports WQHD+ (3200x1440) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 480Hz touch sampling rate. There's also an under-display fingerprint reader and Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen.
POCO F5
As for the POCO F5, it's a mid-range device that shares many of the features of its Pro counterpart. This includes the 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. For the cameras, you'll get the same 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera at the back. The 16MP at the front is also the same.
Of course, there are a few differences. For instance, the POCO F5's display only supports 1080p. It also sports the more modest mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The POCO F5 will be available in white, blue, and black.
According to POCO Malaysia, the POCO F5 will in two variants, while the POCO F5 Pro will have three variants. You can refer to the price list we've included below.
