POCO M6 Pro 5G release - SD 4 Gen 2 SoC and 90Hz LCD display from ~RM605

As we alluded to yesterday, Xiaomi subsidiary POCO today launched its latest affordable smartphone offering in India, the POCO M6 Pro 5G. Featuring some competitive specs at an alluring price, read on to find out more about the device. 

Under the hood, the M6 Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with either up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone also has a microSD card slot for expandable storage of up to 1TB.

There’s also a 5000mAh battery under the hood which supports 18W charging via the USB-C port. The battery would be powering a 6.79-inch 90Hz LCD display with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels and 550 nits peak brightness. 

The screen has a punch-hole cutout at the top-middle which houses an 8MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the rear has a 50MP main camera coupled with a secondary 2MP depth sensor.

Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, 5G support, Android 13 OS via MIUI 14, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, IP53 rating and colour options of either Forest Green or Power Black. 

In India, the M6 Pro 5G starts at INR10999 or ~RM605 for the 4/64GB variant, while the 6/128GB configuration is INR12999 or ~RM715. It is unknown whether the device would be sold in other regions outside of India.
