The buzz around POCO continues and more news of the POCO X2 has surfaced. In the latest leak, marketing slides for the phone's upcoming launch in India on 4 February 2020 were revealed. The slide showed the POCO X2's design, which looks identical to that of the Xiaomi Redmi K30, some tech specs, and the pricing in India.

It was previously believed that the device POCO was looking to launch would be a new POCO F2 but turned out to be the POCO X2. Also, if Hindustan Times is to be believed, the device is likely a rebranded Redmi K30, which is a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It's also expected to have a 6.67-inch IPS display running at a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, great for those who like to play mobile games.

In terms of features, the image also coincides with what we know from our previous post on the POCO X2. It should have a rear quad-camera setup with a main Sony IMX686 64MP sensor, while the front will play host to two cameras for selfies. We also know that it will have a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and a standard speaker.

Another important point the alleged leak reveals is the 18999 Rupees (~RM1089) price tag. If we consider the Xiaomi Redmi K30's pricing of RM1299 in Malaysia, the POCO X2 would fit the range once local taxes apply. If this is indeed the case, there's no reason for the POCO X2 to launch in Malaysia.

The POCO X2 is supposedly a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi K30

Mind you, POCO hasn't confirmed a lot of the details that were leaked but it's looking like the POCO X2 is really a rebranded Redmi K30. If that's the case, us Malaysians are going to have to wait for the POCO F2's reveal for our real dose of POCO in 2020.
