PUBG Corporation no longer authorize PUBG Mobile franchise to Tencent Games in India

As some of you may already know, PUBG Mobile is officially banned in India due to security reasons along with other over 100 apps from China. India is one of PUBG Mobile largest fanbase (estimated 33 million users) so from a business point of view, this really hurt PUBG Corporation and they are taking action in working closely with the India government

According to an official statement by PUBG Corporation (which is a South Korean company, by the way), the company will be taking all publishing responsibilities of PUBG Mobile Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG Mobile Lite in India. This would remove Tencent Games' hold of the mobile game in India and they will "explore ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future". With this, there's a good chance that PUBG Mobile could return to India as long as Tencent Games, a China-based company has no involvement.

That was all the important details from the statement, so at the moment, PUBG Corporation is probably speaking to Tencent Games to hand back over the rights. We will soon know further updates at a later date when the process is done. While PUBG Mobile is banned on both Android and iOS in India, those who still have the mobile game app on the phone is playable.

Personally, the Indian market could just switch over to Call of Duty: Mobile as an alternative since it's just as fun. Perhaps they are too loyal to do that. Anyway, what do you think of the issue? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
