It was only yesterday we saw the report about PS VR2 entering mass production. Today, PlayStation moves on to announce the device and some of its exciting features. It was expected, but we didn't think that would happen this fast.

PlayStation promises that "PlayStation VR2 will take VR gaming to a whole new level, enabling a greater sense of presence and allowing players to escape into game worlds like never before." The PS VR 2 will offer 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view, and foveated rendering with an OLED display. It will also be supporting a display resolution of 2000×2040 per eye and smooth frame rates of 90/120Hz.

Furthermore, the new PS VR2 Sense Technology combines eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D Audio, and PS VR2 Sense controller to create a more immersive VR experience. Headset feedback, created by a single built-in motor, will amplify the sensations of in-game actions from the player. The PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech will also be included.

Unfortunately, PlayStation did not share images regarding the PS VR2's design. However, there's one more exciting news, and it's the Horizon Call of the Mountain from Guerrilla and Firesprite. The original game is being built specifically for PS VR2 and will open the doors for players to go deeper into the world of Horizon.
