For future Pokémon masters in the ASEAN and Asia region, take note. Niantic, the developer for the virally popular Pokémon GO Augmented Reality game has confirmed that ASEAN and Asia is not in the release plans in the near future.

IGN has confirmed with Niantic that the company is focusing on the markets that they have launched thus far – US, UK, New Zeland, Australia – and has no plans as of yet to release the game in any other country officially in the upcoming months.

However, another news report from the Internet said that Niantic does want to roll out the popular game to 200 other markets “soon”. The CEO of Niantic, John Hanke said that they want to bolster server capacity first to enable a better experience for current and future players rather than roll it out prematurely and ridden with bugs. No timeline has been shared, so in the mean time head on here to register interest and to tell you when the game is available in your country.
