After weeks of what amounted to a lockdown for industries and businesses, companies like Proton are finally able to reopen again with the announcement of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) near the end of April 2020. In compliance with the CMCO that will extend to 9 June 2020, Proton has announced that it has come up with new operating procedures for its offices.

In the official press statement, Proton confirmed that it has reopened all its sales, services, and corporate centres. With the reopening, Proton is expecting a large influx of customers to its service centres. This makes sense, as there may be many who want to have their cars serviced after so many weeks of not being able to.

To ensure that the COVID-19 virus will have a reduced chance of spreading amongst the staff and visitors, the necessary precautions will be implemented. The new procedures and measures are listed below:

  • Customers must make an appointment before coming to a service centre and arrive 20 minutes before the appointed time, walk-in customers are not accepted
  • Number of appointments per day will be restricted
  • Customers are required to apply social distancing. Notices/tags have been placed at all registration, service, and payment counters, as well as the customer waiting area
  • Customers must accept a body temperature check before being allowed to enter the premises. They must also fill up a health declaration form
  • Hand sanitisers will be placed at the registration counters
  • All service centres will have safety posters to remind you of the procedures
  • Cars will be sanitised after servicing before customers can collect them

For those who want to set an appointment, you are advised to contact the nearest Proton service centre or call their hotline at 1-800-88-8398. With that said, what do you think about the new procedures? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
