Qualcomm has released its latest mid-range 4nm mobile processor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Despite its name, the SoC is actually less powerful than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 and it is confirmed to be powering the Redmi Note 13 Pro that’s launching on 21 September.

In a press release, Qualcomm revealed that the SoC sports a Kryo CPU with 4 high-performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz. There are also 4 power-efficient cores clocked at 1.95GHz.

Furthermore, the chipset also features an unnamed Adreno GPU which can handle FHD+ visuals at 144Hz refresh rate. Besides that, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 supports up to 12GB LPDDR5 memory, and UFS 4.0 storage, as well as comes equipped with the Snapdragon X62 5G modem with a peak rate of 2.9Gbps and support for 5G millimetre wave technology.

The mid-range chipset also comes with Qualcomm Spectra 12-bit ISP that allows for triple-camera simultaneous shooting, 200MP photography and 4K30fps video recording. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 also sports Snapdragon Listening technology for clear audio for calls and media consumption.
